I've used whitening trays before. How are Crest Whitening Strips different?
Crest Whitening Strips are far more cost-effective than whitening trays, in addition to being more comfortable and allowing you to whiten your teeth on to go. Whitening your teeth with teeth whitening strips is much less hassle, and cuts out the guess work because every strip contains the optimum amount of whitening gel required to brighten that smile.
How are whitening strips different to whitening toothpaste?
Although most whitening toothpastes you find in the supermarket work well in preventing daily stain build up on your teeth, they only work to remove stains on the surface. Whitestrips, however, provide an intrinsic whitening effect, going beyond where pastes cannot - beneath the enamel surface. Because Crest White Strips work beneath the enamel surface, you'll see results that are much more noticeable.
I have teeth sensitive to whitening. Can using Whitestrips make it worse?
It is perfectly normal to experience some tooth sensitivity when using whitestrips, particularly when using the products that require a longer wear time. Rest assured, however, that all Whitestrips in the 3D White range are enamel safe. Sensitivity typically subsides after a couple of days, but if sensitivity does persist, we recommend trying Gentle Routine which contains a lower concentration of hydrogen peroxide.
How long will the whitening last?
Under normal circumstances, you can expect the results of the Professional Effects & the Intensive Professional Effects to last 1-2 years. Of course, this depends on your eating & drinking habits. For example, those that drink large amounts of Coca Cola, black coffee or tea, or those that smoke, will probably have to whiten their teeth again sooner than those that do not.
Will Crest Whitening Strips affect my dental work?
Crest whitening strips will only whiten your natural teeth, so it is not advised to use them if you have any dental work such as caps, veneers or crowns at the front of your mouth. This is because the hydrogen peroxide will whiten all the surrounding teeth and your dental work will stand out. Consult your dentist if you have any dental concerns.
